Ms. Sam Barkley is the proud owner and creative force behind MylesStone Venue, a warm and welcoming event space in Atwood, Tennessee. Long before she opened the doors to the venue, Ms. Sam was known for her talent in real estate — a skilled property redeveloper with an eye for artistry and a gift for transforming forgotten spaces into something beautiful. Although successful in her field her passion for restoration, community, and meaningful connection eventually led her to a different kind of project.

When Ms. Sam discovered an old chapel in Atwood, she didn’t just see a building — she saw a story worth saving. She poured months of hard work, vision, and heart into restoring it, honoring its history while giving it new life. Every beam, every light fixture, every detail reflects her belief that spaces can hold memories, healing, and joy.

Today,  MylesStone Venue stands as a testament to Ms. Sam’s dedication, creativity, and resilience. With its high ceilings, soft lighting, and flexible indoor–outdoor layout, it has become a beloved gathering place for weddings, elopements, family celebrations, nonprofit events, and community moments of all kinds.

But for Ms. Sam, the venue is far more than a business. It is legacy.

Family is at the center of everything she does. As a grandmother who treasures every moment with her grandchildren, Ms. Sam has dedicated the venue to them — a living reminder of the values she hopes to pass down: hard work, perseverance, creativity, and the courage to build something meaningful.

Ms. Sam is also a Tennessee Notary Public, legally authorized to officiate weddings. Her officiant services grew naturally from her desire to make every couple feel seen, celebrated, and safe.

Ms. Sam is deeply committed to creating a welcoming, affirming environment for every couple she serves. As a proud advocate for transgender individuals, the families who support them, and the broader LGBTQ+ community, she ensures that MylesStone Venue remains a place where love is honored without exception. Her officiating style reflects that same spirit of dignity, compassion, and inclusivity — values she brings into every ceremony she leads.
